Amrit Karki is a visual artist who has achieved recognition both nationally and internationally for his thought-provoking work. He has been awarded the prestigious 2019-2020 UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of Asian Arts Scholarship by the South Asian Foundation (SAF) at Beaconhouse National University, School of Visual Art and Design, Pakistan, as well as the 2020 Creative Young Artist Award in Nepal.
His selected solo shows are 2022 “Breathing Through the Stillness” a performance at Nepal Art Council, 2021 “Undefiled” at Beaconhouse University Gallery at Lahore, Pakistan, and “Persistence” at Nepal Art Council.
His selected international exhibitions are; Biennale of Ideas, Belgium 2024, Reimagine: Himalayan Art Now, The Rubin Museum of Art, New York, USA, the Anyang Public Art Project (APAP7) 2023, Anyang and Fantasy Island 2023, Incheon in South Korea, Islamabad International Art Festival 2019 in Pakistan, the 2018 Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh, and the 2017 Kathmandu Triennale and Kathmandu International Performance Art Festival.
